TURNING SPACE INTO COMMUNITY

ABOUT RALLY YARD

Rally Yard was built on a simple idea: that underutilised space can become something genuinely valuable for local communities. We design, build and operate premium racket sport venues, starting with padel, combining high-quality courts with social spaces that people actually want to spend time in.

Our model is built to scale. Each site is designed with the same philosophy: accessible, automated and anchored in the local community it serves.

OUR FOUNDERS

THE PEOPLE BEHIND IT

A team with backgrounds across health, sales and technology.

DAN ROSS

FOUNDER

Years on the squash and tennis court taught me to love racket sports. Padel taught me something different.

It's competitive without being intimidating, social without being exclusive, and accessible to people of all ages and abilities. There's nothing else quite like it.

What started as a personal passion quickly became an obsession, and the more I played, the more I saw the opportunity: not just a place to play, but a place to connect, compete, and become part of something.

Rally Yard was born from that belief. Outstanding places to play and compete, built around real community, with every decision centred on creating somewhere players genuinely want to return to.

As both a founder and an avid player, it's exciting to be part of padel's growth in the UK, and to help shape what comes next.

ED ALLEN

CO-FOUNDER

A decade in the NHS taught me that mind and body are inseparable. Sport taught me that lesson first.

A health journey of my own has changed how much I can play over the last few years. It's humbled me, and sharpened my belief in what sport really gives us: connection, release, community.

That's what Rally Yard is built on. A padel court, yes, but more than that, a place to step away from life for a while.

There's a place for you here. Come down, say hello, and give it a go.

CALLUM AKHTAR

CO-FOUNDER

I've spent my career building teams, delivering technology and leading change, most recently as Head of Technology at ASOS.com.

Sport has always been part of my life, from cycling and running to football and most recently padel. After years leading technology transformation programmes and building high trust, high performing teams in some of the biggest brands, I wanted to build something closer to home. Literally.

As co-founder of Rally Yard, I'm bringing the same focus that's driven my career: clear leadership, a strong culture, and a genuine belief in building something people want to be part of. This time, the result is a padel club instead of a tech platform.

For me, Rally Yard is about creating a space where people across the East Midlands can connect, compete, and feel part of something, on and off the court.

DAN VENDYBACK

INVESTOR & BOARD MEMBER

I've spent over 22 years building things from the ground up, quite literally.

As founder of Back Gardens Ltd, I've spent my career transforming outdoor spaces, learning along the way that the best ones are built around people, not just plants and paving.

That same belief brought me to padel. Investing in Rally Yard felt like a natural next step: a chance to build a space that brings people together, supports their wellbeing, and gives one of the fastest growing sports in the country a home.

Strong leadership, real craftsmanship, and a genuine belief in community. That's what I bring to the board.
